Background Information
Oral and maxillofacial surgery requires additional years of hospital-based surgical and anesthesia training after graduation from dental school. Dr. Domin, Dr. Brooks, Dr. Erbentraut, Dr. Robinson and Dr. Ooi, as oral and maxillofacial surgeons, manage a wide variety of problems relating to the mouth, teeth, and facial regions. Drs. Domin, Brooks, Erbentraut, Robinson and Ooi practice a full scope of oral and maxillofacial surgery with expertise ranging from dental implant surgery and wisdom tooth removal to corrective jaw surgery. This also includes techniques designed to rebuild bone structure with minimal surgical intervention and optimal patient comfort. Our doctors can also diagnose and treat facial pain, facial injuries, and fractures.
Our staff is trained in assisting with Intravenous (IV) sedation and outpatient general anesthesia in our state-of-the-art office setting. Patients are continuously monitored during and after surgery.
Our Team
The clinical staff at OMSA of Western Michigan are experienced, certified oral and maxillofacial surgical assistants, who assist the doctors during the administration of IV sedation and surgery. Each of our clinical staff members has completed the Dental Assistant Anesthesia National Certification Exam conducted by the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons, and are certified in CPR. Each of our offices is outfitted with up to date monitoring and emergency equipment to ensure a comfortable and safe atmosphere during and after surgery.
Our administrative personnel are available to assist you with scheduling and coordinating your treatment. They are well versed in health and dental insurance policies and will assist you in obtaining applicable benefits. They are CPR certified as well.
All of our staff regularly participates in continuing education to ensure that their skills remain up to date in order to provide the best care possible to our patients.
