Steven W. Schultz, DDS
Meet Dr. Schultz – Retired March 31, 2020
Dr. Schultz was born and raised in St. Louis, MO. He received a jazz music scholarship to attend St. Louis University which he graduated with a degree in Biology. He completed dental school at the University of Missouri-Kansas City School of Dentistry where he was the class valedictorian. Dr. Schultz completed his oral surgery residency at the Mayo Clinic in 1987 and moved to Grand Rapids to begin oral surgery practice.
Dr. Schultz is a board certified Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon and a member of numerous professional organizations: American Dental Association, Michigan Dental Association, American Association of Dental Anesthesiology and numerous dental implant societies.
He was elected to the American College of Dentists and has served as president of the West Michigan Dental Society. Dr. Schultz has been an instructor of anatomy and embryology at Grand Rapids Community College’s Dental Hygiene and Dental Assisting programs. He maintains privileges at St. Mary’s Hospital in Grand Rapids.
Dr. Schultz is married to Elizabeth Muldoon, a Grand Rapids native, and has five children and seven grandchildren. He works locally as a jazz musician playing the tenor sax. Dr. Schultz enjoys hiking and climbing trips with his family. His goal is to introduce his grandchildren to nature and the outdoors.
